Madison Valley Caretaker

For most of 2023 I looked after a beautiful home in Madison Valley in Seattle. There were incredible houseplants, a wonderful back yard herb garden, and many native plants framing the front and sides of the house. One of my responsibilities was to tend to all of the plants. While the back garden had been neglected and was quite overgrown, its fundamental design is strong. With regular weeding and pruning sessions, it was a fairly easy and extremely enjoyable project getting everything back into shape. I even put in a small installation of brassicas which added beautiful color and texture into the late fall, and wove wattling out of material pruned from the surrounding trees.
